The national breast feeding  week began on 1/8/2022  up to 8 /8/2022 culminating into national day breast feeding commemoration on Thursday at Masafu Sub County play grounds , Busia District and the theme of day was step up for breast feeding , Educate and Support .

The theme was aimed at raising awareness about sustainable breast feeding environment .The  Breast feeding that due to poor feeding , their breasts do not  have enough , for the working Mothers said their work places do not have lactation rooms  and called on the government to intervene . Teenage mothers also due to lack of food in their house holds throw away the babies because they cannot breast feed and there fore Government call on development partners to come on board and support .
