Comfort Community Empowerment Network (COCENET) is a women led organization commenced in 2019 to serve and deliver services to realize the positive influence on youth, women and children in the development of the society.
It aims at capacity building and services delivery to the deprived and marginalized people of the society. COCENET works to promote the environment conservation, rights of children and women, and community empowerment in health, education sector and livelihoods towards sustainable development in Buliisa district as a result based organisation.
COCENET operates in seven sub counties which include Buliisa town council, Buliisa Sub County, Kigwera sub county, Ngwendo sub county, Butiabwa sub county, Biiso sub county, Kihungya sub county.
The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes COCENET’s functioning are its efforts to:
a.enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level;
b.Mobilize women for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
