Information Sharing and Networking Officer

Peter Ongom is a Tech personnel, software engineer, ICT advocate, Data analyst and entrepreneur, currently working under the Technical Support Department at WOUGNET as a field Technical Support Officer. He also doubles as the program officer under the Gender and ICT policy advocacy program for project activities,based at the Kubere Information Centre (KIC) -WOUGNET’s multi dimensional Information Centre located in Apac district in the Northern part of Uganda. With vast knowledge in the use of digital technologies for development, he has participated in many ICT for development projects over the years especially in the fields of education, agriculture and general service delivery in partnership with other stake holders. With a degree in software engineering from Makerere University, Peter believes that the use of Information and communication technologies if applied strategically can drastically reduce the gender digital divide between the urban and rural areas hence promoting development and gender equality among the rural communities.
