Disabled Women in Development

Disabled women in development (DIWODE) is a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) registered with NGO Board of the government of Uganda targeting women with disabilities. It is a disabled local voluntary organisation formed mainly to focus on social, economic and development interests of the community especially the marginalized women and vulnerable children (orphans).
Mission:
  • Our Mission:To promote self-help initiatives by providing training and micro-credit facilities to the marginalised groups of the community especially the disabled women of Uganda, widows and orphans.
Vision:
  • A prosperous Uganda with equitable and a high quality of life of all people with disabilities.
